Shipping costs vary depending on location. Average price for shipping a kitten within the United States is $65 to $165, depending on the airline and which type of cargo service is used. International shipping is generally higher depending on the country, running between $200 and $400. Other costs include the required veterinary exam and health certificate ($40) and the airline approved carrier ($35). Some countries (ie: Germany) also require that a rabies shot be given not less than 30 days prior to shipping. Rabies shots are also required to ship any kitten over four months of age. The rabies shot adds another $15 to the total shipping cost. Because of the potential stress to the kitten, we will not ship to areas which have quarantine laws, such as Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and any of the British Isles. We also will not ship to areas which would reqire a very long layover, such as many parts of Canada, or using schedules which require more than two flight transfers. Mid winter and mid summer are difficult times to ship to some locations, as all airlines have strict temperature laws which prohibit animals from being shipped in extremely hot or cold weather. In the past we have had wonderful sucess with shipping to many states in the United States, as well as to Belgium, Germany, The Netherlands and Japan. We use American Airlines, Delta, Alaskan, Japan Air, Lufthansa, and KLM/Northwest, all of which have kind and careful counter to counter service with high security and a safe and comfortable fully pressurized and climate controlled animal travelling compartment. Please contact us if you would like more specific information about shipping to your area.
