Our first cat show of the Millennium was attended by Dharma in the kitten class along with her "sister" Liscoonvarna Baby Mel, a lovely brown mackerel tabby girl out of Kithri and Tre'valen's litter who now owns Angelle Bigelow of Littleton, CO. Starbuck competed in the championship class in this his first show in the United States, and he received his CFA championship halfway through Sunday. Fireon came along for the ride in the exhibition only class, and had a wonderful time convincing many visitors throughout the weekend that polydactyl Maine Coons were the only cats for them, making his personal best nonverbal arguments for the acceptance of polydactyl Maine Coons into the championship class. All four cats behaved charmingly for a majority of the weekend, and cats and humans alike were very ready to relax at home and watch X-Files by Sunday evening.
The show was well organized and amply attended, and while Angelle and I weren't dashing for rings with cats in our arms, we sat with the cats while conversing with and answering questions for the constant stream of visitors. Just the exchange of information alone was worth the entry fees, and we also got to visit with other breeder/exhibitor friends, shop for cat toys at the numerous well stocked vendors, see dozens of wonderful examples of each unique cat breed, and bring home a new champion, so all in all it was a highly successful and enjoyable show.

"Baby" and "Bo" (Trudie and Dennis's other boy Kankoonkats Buster Bocephus [of Trutails]) were the stars of the 45 second Channel 9 local news coverage of the show, which will soon be added to this page in MPEG format.
