April 28th and 29th, 2001, "Spring Fling", Rocky Mountain Cat Fanciers Show in Colorado Springs, CO

Our third cat show of 2001 was attended by Moonshadow in the top end of the kitten class. Joining us was Liscoonvarna Lunar Flame (also in kitten class), a cameo classic tabby and white boy out of Dharma and Fireon, who now owns Anne-Marie Land-Salinas of Denver, CO, and his littermate sisterLiscoonvarna's Pterodactyl (household pet class), a red classic tabby polydactyl girl who owns Anne-Marie's sister, Greta Fulsom. Liscoonvarna Sunstorm of Cumbrescoons, a brown patched classic tabby girl out of Kithri and Starbuck, now living with Rhonda Garnett in The San Luis Valley, was also in attendance in the championship class. Moonshadow made us very proud by making three finals: 5th best kitten in longhair specialty, 9th best kitten in longhair specialty, and 7th best allbreed (Best of Breed in that ring!). There were 11 gorgeous Maine Coon kittens there, great competition for this last show of the show season. Flame took best of color from Moonshadow in three rings, very impressive for his tender age of four months old. Pteri made 2nd best and 10th best in the household pet finals. Sunny proudly went home a champion.

We also attended the "Easter Parade" show, Foot of the Rockies Cat Club, on April 8th and 9th, but it wasn't well documented photgraphically. Moonshadow got second best of breed in the last ring, which was exciting. Shania tried to eat the judges, so she stayed home for the Colorado Springs show. Below are pictures of the show.
