Our fourth cat show of 2001 was attended by Moonshadow and Shania competing for winners ribbons for their first time in the championship adult class, and Chinook and Jessie James trying out the show experience for the first time in the kitten class. Joining us was Liscoonvarna Lunar Flame (his first time in the adult class), a cameo classic tabby and white boy out of Dharma and Fireon, who owns Anne-Marie Land-Salinas of Denver, CO, and his littermate sisterLiscoonvarna's Pterodactyl (household pet class), a red classic tabby polydactyl girl who owns Anne-Marie's sister, Greta Fulsom. Liscoonvarna Sunstorm of Cumbrescoons, a brown patched classic tabby girl out of Kithri and Starbuck, now living with Rhonda Garnett in The San Luis Valley, was also in attendance in the championship class, and Liscoonvarna's "Baby" Cozumel, a brown mackerel tabby girl out of Kithri and Trevalen, accompanied by her loving caretaker Angelle Bigelow, was competing in the premiership class. Liscoonvarna was well represented! Shania retired herself from showing after two winners ribbons by trying to eat one of the judges, and Moonshadow finished up the show needing one more ribbon for her championship. Jessie James was very skeptical about the show experience, but Chinook had a great time with the whole process. Flame made us all very proud by getting best of breed in one ring on the second day, and finalling as 5th best allbreed cat in that ring. Pteri made most of the household pet finals, placing near the top in several of them. Baby and Sunny had some trouble competing with the big boys, but behaved themselves beautifully.
Below are pictures of the show.
